Allison and Dennis in Greenport

Join us on an evening summer stroll through the quaint coastal town of Greenport, New York

This engagement session was special. Like, super special. This is my beautiful cousin Allison and her husband-to-be, Dennis.

Alli and I grew up going to the North Fork every summer with our families to visit our grandparents. Their four-square 1930s colonial with its stately front porch overlooked the bay between Greenport and Shelter Island, where we’d spend the days swimming and exploring with the rest of our cousins.

My Great-Grandfather was born here in the early 1900s and was an incredible artist. He was also an early photographer. We cherish the many black and white self-portrait images of him and our Great-Grandmother that he took when they were young and in love. Although I didn’t pursue photography until much later in my life, I know the bulk of my creative ability was passed down generationally.

It was so much fun to use my 40mm Voitlander Nokton lens for this session. I think it was the perfect nod to the artists of the past who built this little town and made it such a special place.
