Elopement Magic at the Salem Courthouse
Elopement Magic at the Salem Courthouse + Garden Portraits Afterward!
Last week, I had the absolute joy of photographing a beautiful elopement portrait session that started at the Salem Courthouse. It’s on a side street and I don’t think I’ve ever had a straight-on view, because I was shocked how beautiful this building is, let me tell you!
The historic stone steps and neoclassical architecture made a timeless and romantic backdrop. And check out the Salem News I hand painted with their wedding date.
Afterward, we wandered into a nearby historic garden for a more intimate portrait session. This space feels like a little oasis tucked away from the world (well…except for when large tour groups come in, but is it even Salem without at least one macabre tour group?) This couple brought along a delicious cake and a bottle of champagne to pop.
Congratulations Katie and Eric! Sessions like this are the perfect reminder that your day can be whatever you want it to be—thoughtful, intimate, magical, and easy.
