Location Showdown: Spring Garden

I love revisiting the beautiful photo sessions I’ve captured over the year when I’m bundled up inside, drinking a cup of coffee in the January morning sun.

I get that choosing a location for your family photos is important, so I’ve decided to create a few blog posts highlighting my favorite location themes in New England.

We will start with my favorite:
S P R I N G G A R D E N

We are stuck inside all winter, freezing in thin, gray light, losing vitamin D while we look at barren landscapes and leafless trees that let the bitter cold blow right through. Then, spring finally comes and it’s messy and raw and rainy—and just as we are about to lose our minds, May comes along and flowers and sun explode through all the muted tones of mud and rain, and all that color and warmth feel like a miracle.

I’m booking Spring Family and Maternity Sessions right now, so reach out asap if you know you want to capture that amazing post-winter magic with me in 2026.

From the best tulip fields on the north shore, to the spring sun setting behind short-lived apple blossoms, I know some unbelievable locations!
